By downloading, installing, or using Prov ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Prov is a local-first career achievement capture app for iOS. It helps you record work accomplishments, which are enriched using AI to produce polished achievement statements, skill extractions, and pattern classifications. The App also generates weekly status updates and tailored briefs for performance reviews, interviews, and promotions.
You retain full ownership of all content you create in Prov, including win descriptions, enriched text, and any exported data. By using the AI enrichment features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to process your win text solely for the purpose of generating enriched output. Your content is not used for AI model training, advertising, or any other purpose.
Prov offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Prov Pro") managed through the Apple App Store and RevenueCat. Subscription terms:
AI-enriched text, skill extractions, pattern classifications, weekly updates, and briefs are provided "as is." AI output is non-deterministic and may vary each time content is generated. Generated content is stored as immutable snapshots. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose, including job applications, performance reviews, or interviews.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by your country to consent to the processing of your personal data (13 in the United States with verifiable parental consent). If you are between 16 and 18 (or the equivalent age of majority where you live), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and the Privacy Policy and agrees to them on your behalf. Prov is not intended for anyone younger than these ages. We do not knowingly collect data from underage users; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
Prov uses Google Gemini to transform your rough notes into polished text. This text is non-deterministic and may change on regeneration, may contain factual errors or misattributions, and may inadvertently resemble text Google has generated for others. You remain responsible for the originality of anything you publish or submit as your own.
You must review and verify every piece of AI-generated text before using it in any real-world context, including performance reviews, job applications, interviews, promotion packets, legal proceedings, or any decision that affects you or others. Prov is a drafting aid, not a source of truth. We are not responsible for the consequences of you or anyone else relying on AI-generated content, including adverse employment outcomes, missed opportunities, or reputational harm.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any third-party claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) content you submit that violates any law or any third party's rights (including confidential employer information, trade secrets, or personal data of colleagues), or (c) your use of AI-generated content in any context. This obligation does not extend to matters caused by our own willful misconduct or gross negligence, and does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services under applicable consumer-protection law. By tapping "Continue" on the Prov Pro subscription purchase screen, you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately and acknowledge that once you use any Pro feature (unlimited AI enrichments, weekly updates, or briefs), you lose the right of withdrawal. Cancellations after this point remain possible through Apple's standard subscription management (iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions); refunds are governed by Apple's refund policy.
Prov stores your wins, weekly updates, and briefs only on your device. Neither we nor any third party holds a copy. If your device is lost, damaged, or erased and you have not separately backed up your data, recovery may not be possible. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We recommend enabling iCloud device backups in iOS Settings. Prov's "Export data" feature (Settings → Export data) is available at any time and produces a JSON file you can save to iCloud Drive, email to yourself, or store in any service you trust.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply. Disputes with merchants are exclusively resolved by the courts of Berlin. Consumers may bring suit in Berlin or in the competent court of their country of residence, whichever their mandatory consumer protections require. Mandatory consumer protections granted by the laws of your country of residence remain unaffected by this clause.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
